Felicity Jones – Method for Making
Felicity Jones' ceramic forms are cast from found discarded vessels and the plants decorating the forms are collected whileshe is out walking her dogs.
The collected plants are then pressed and after few months I cast into the liquid clay (slip). The clay is then fired.
The intaglio and embossed detail of the plants is then painted with underglaze colour using a water colour technique. The ceramic pieces are then glazed and fired again. A gold or platinum rim detail is applied by hand and the pieces then undergo their final firing.
